Tatara

Examples

These are the example programs of the manual. Each is a directory with its source files and a build file, BUILD.BAT, that assembles and links it; reading the build file first, then the source, is the intended order.

On the MSX they go into A:\TATARA\EXAMPLES, one directory each, with the names below: A:\TATARA\EXAMPLES\HELLO, and so on. DIRS has subdirectories of its own, LIB and SRC\INC, which must be kept. Each file can be downloaded on its own; they are MSX text files and should be copied to the MSX unchanged.

A build file sets the TATARA environment variable to A:\TATARA\INCLUDE while it runs and clears it afterwards. If Tatara is installed elsewhere, change that line in the build file.

HELLO

The smallest complete program: one source file to one .COM, the whole cycle in two commands.

TWOMOD

A program in two modules: PUBLIC and EXTRN across two source files, linked from a link file.
